What we fit in Lisburn
- Impact protection. Protection around the opening helps stop forklifts damaging expensive insulated leaves.
- Pressure relief. Relief valves to balance pressure after the door closes or during defrost.
- Heated frames. Heater cables in freezer door frames stop ice welding the seals shut.
- Tight seals. The leaf pulls in against its gaskets on closing so cold air stays where it belongs.
- Thick insulation. Foam-filled leaves sized to the room temperature, from chillers to freezers.
Typical scopes of work
- Renewing worn gaskets and the frame heater on a chiller door that no longer seals properly.
- Installing a high-speed freezer door in front of an existing sliding cold store door on a busy picking route.
- Protecting new cold store door frames with steel buffers and bollards on a busy forklift route.
Powered door rules in Northern Ireland
Lisburn is in Northern Ireland, where workplace safety is regulated by HSENI under the Health and Safety at Work (Northern Ireland) Order 1978. The Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1993 and PUWER (Northern Ireland) 1999 require occupiers to keep powered doors safe and maintained. Under the Windsor Framework, EU machinery rules and CE marking continue to apply to powered doors placed on the market here, with the EU Machinery Regulation 2023/1230 applying from 20 January 2027.
Keeping your site running during the work
Downtime matters on a working site, so the programme is set around your shifts. For a single door the opening is usually needed for a day; multi-door jobs are done one bay at a time so deliveries keep moving.

Your questions about cold store and freezer doors
What safety release do cold store doors in Lisburn need?
Every cold store door should open from inside without a key or tool, even when locked from outside. We fit a clearly marked inside release and can add an alarm button connected to a monitored panel.
Can our cold store door in Lisburn be made electric?
Often, yes, if the leaf and track are sound, or with a new electric sliding door. Powered cold store doors need safety edges and photocells and a drive suited to the temperature.
Do you supply cold store doors for food businesses in County Antrim?
Yes. We supply and fit cold store doors with hygienic finishes for food producers, processors, distributors and commercial kitchens across County Antrim, and we talk through your hygiene, cleaning and audit requirements at the survey before recommending a finish.
