What we fit in Gosport
- Electric sliding. Motorised sliding doors with pull cords, radar or loops and safety edges.
- Hygienic finishes. Plastisol-coated steel, stainless steel or GRP for food and pharmaceutical use.
- Tight seals. The leaf pulls in against its gaskets on closing so cold air stays where it belongs.
- Inside release. Every door can be opened from inside without a key, even if locked from outside.
- Heated frames. Heater cables in freezer door frames stop ice welding the seals shut.
Jobs we can carry out
- Adding a heated pressure relief valve to a freezer room where suction makes the door hard to open once it closes.
- Renewing worn gaskets and the frame heater on a chiller door that no longer seals properly.
- Fitting freezer-grade PVC strip curtains behind cold store doors that stand open during loading.
Safety law for industrial doors in England
Industrial doors in Gosport are covered by the same rules as the rest of Great Britain. On handover you should receive user instructions and, for a powered door, the conformity paperwork, because the installer is treated as the manufacturer when they assemble or motorise it. Afterwards, keeping the door in efficient working order is the occupier's job under the Workplace Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998, which in practice means regular servicing and a written log.
Planning the work around your site
Sites in and around Gosport vary from tight trade counters to large distribution yards. The survey records access for our vehicle and platform, overhead obstructions and floor condition so the installation day runs without surprises.

Cold store and freezer doors in Gosport: your questions
Can our cold store door in Gosport be made electric?
Often, yes, if the leaf and track are sound, or with a new electric sliding door. Powered cold store doors need safety edges and photocells and a drive suited to the temperature.
Can you replace a freezer door at our Gosport site without losing stock?
We plan the change with you and your refrigeration engineer. Many doors can be swapped in a day, sometimes with stock moved or the plant set back temporarily, so the room returns to temperature quickly.
Do you supply cold store doors for food businesses in Hampshire?
Yes. We supply and fit cold store doors with hygienic finishes for food producers, processors, distributors and commercial kitchens across Hampshire, and we talk through your hygiene, cleaning and audit requirements at the survey before recommending a finish.
