What we fit in Daventry

Heated frames. Heater cables in freezer door frames stop ice welding the seals shut.
Thick insulation. Insulation thickness is chosen for your operating temperature, with heavier leaves for freezers.
Pressure relief. We check pressure relief so a tightly sealed room does not suck the door shut.
Inside release. Every door can be opened from inside without a key, even if locked from outside.
Impact protection. Kick plates, buffers and bollards to keep trucks off leaves and frames.

Jobs we can carry out

Adding a heated pressure relief valve to a freezer room where suction makes the door hard to open once it closes.
Motorising a heavy manual cold store door with pull-cord activation, a safety edge on the closing leaf and photocells.
Fitting a hinged chiller door with a stainless steel finish to a walk-in cold room in a commercial kitchen.

Powered door rules that apply in Daventry

Daventry is in England, where powered industrial doors fall under Great Britain's health and safety law. Whoever makes a door powered — including converting a manual door — usually takes on the manufacturer's duties under the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008: risk assessment, technical file, conformity marking and a Declaration of Conformity. Once it is in use, the employer or occupier must keep it safe under the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998.

Planning the work around your site

Electrical work is the part that most often delays a job. If a new or converted door needs a supply, we confirm the motor's requirement at quote stage so your electrician can provide an isolator in the right place before installation day.
