What the visit covers in Basildon

Fault diagnosis. We check whether the motor, panel, supply or door is at fault before replacing anything.
Brake and override. The new drive holds the door securely and can still be opened by hand in a power cut.
Panel upgrades. Older panels can be replaced at the same time for better reliability and safety.
Obsolete motors. Equivalent drives with adapters where the original model is no longer made.
Written records. A record of the work and tests for your maintenance file.

Typical scopes of work

Fitting a centre-mounted motor where an end-mounted replacement would clash with racking beside the door.
Replacing a burnt-out direct-drive motor on a loading bay door and fitting an inverter control panel at the same time.
Re-commissioning a sectional door once a new motor is fitted, including new limit settings and closing force tests.

Safety law for industrial doors in England

Industrial doors in Basildon are covered by the same rules as the rest of Great Britain. On handover you should receive user instructions and, for a powered door, the conformity paperwork, because the installer is treated as the manufacturer when they assemble or motorise it. Afterwards, keeping the door in efficient working order is the occupier's job under the Workplace Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998, which in practice means regular servicing and a written log.

Planning the work around your site

Service and repair visits in Basildon are booked around your shifts. Doors and shutters are taken out of use one at a time, so the rest of the site keeps working while each one is checked.
