Jobs we can carry out

Installing a motorised fire shutter that also serves as the daily goods door between two warehouse compartments.
Fire-stopping the head and jambs of a replacement shutter exactly to the manufacturer's installation details.

Fire shutter law in England

A fire shutter only does its job if it closes when needed. Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, the responsible person must keep fire safety equipment maintained in efficient working order, and keeping test records is the usual way to show it. Shutters must also stay as the manufacturer tested and certified them, so repairs should use the right parts. In Thamesmead, the enforcing authority is the London Fire Commissioner (London Fire Brigade).

Access, phasing and timing

Downtime matters on a working site, so the programme is set around your shifts. For a single door the opening is usually needed for a day; multi-door jobs are done one bay at a time so deliveries keep moving.
