Who must keep fire shutters working at a site in Pontypridd?
The responsible person, usually the employer, owner or managing agent, has the duty under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, as it applies in Wales. Your fire risk assessment should list each shutter, how it is released and how often it is tested, and South Wales Fire and Rescue Service may ask how the shutters are maintained.
How the work is organised
Most installations in Pontypridd can be phased so part of the site keeps working. We agree access routes, exclusion zones and any temporary security with you before the team arrives, and can work early mornings, evenings or weekends where the business needs it.
