The short version
Separating production from dispatch, chilled from ambient, or the yard from the warehouse in Risca? We supply and fit the high-speed door that suits that opening, then commission and hand it over with full documentation.

Options that matter on site
- Breakaway bottom bars. If a truck catches the door, the bottom bar breaks away rather than bending the frame.
- Light curtains. Sensors along the side frames watch the whole opening and keep the door open while it is occupied.
- Fabric doors. PVC-coated fabric roll-up doors for internal routes and sheltered external openings.
- Vision panels. See-through panels let drivers and pedestrians spot each other before the door opens.
- Smart activation. The door opens only for the traffic you choose, from forklifts on loops to pedestrians on buttons.
Jobs we can carry out
- Fitting a self-repairing fabric door between production and dispatch where a conventional shutter stands open all shift.
- Replacing a worn fabric curtain, bottom bar and drive belt on a door logging thousands of cycles a week.
- Adding a high-speed fabric door inside an existing sectional door so the outer door can stay open during the shift.
Who is responsible for door safety at a site in Risca?
In Wales, two sets of duties meet at a powered door. The installer who supplies or motorises it must hand over a door that meets the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008, tested against BS EN 12453 and documented. The business in control of the premises must then maintain it: regulation 5 of the Workplace Regulations 1992 covers maintenance, and regulation 18 requires upward-opening doors to have a device that stops them falling back and powered doors to have features that prevent trapping.
How the work is organised
For busy sites in Gwent the work can be split across visits — preparation and framing first, door installation and commissioning second — so the opening is only out of action for the shortest time.

Your questions about high-speed doors
Can you fit a high-speed door alongside our existing door in Risca?
Often, yes. A high-speed door can sit inside or outside an existing shutter or sectional door, with the conventional door closed at night. We check the space and fixings on survey.
Do you repair high-speed doors across Gwent?
Yes. We repair fabric and spiral high-speed doors across Gwent, including curtains, bottom bars, drives, inverters and safety devices, subject to parts availability. Repair visits are chargeable and quoted up front.
How long does it take to install a high-speed door in Risca?
A typical fabric door is fitted and commissioned in a day once it arrives. Spiral doors, interlocks and floor loops add time. The manufacturer's lead time is confirmed with your quote, and we fit around your operations.
