- NR30

- Norfolk

- Free for new installations
What to specify
- Self-repairing curtains. After a knock, many curtains reset themselves automatically instead of waiting for an engineer.
- Smart activation. The door opens only for the traffic you choose, from forklifts on loops to pedestrians on buttons.
- Breakaway bottom bars. If a truck catches the door, the bottom bar breaks away rather than bending the frame.
- Fabric doors. PVC-coated fabric roll-up doors for internal routes and sheltered external openings.
- Inverter drives. Soft start and stop protect the curtain and drive at high cycle rates.
What this work can involve
- Fitting a self-repairing fabric door between production and dispatch where a conventional shutter stands open all shift.
- Adding a high-speed fabric door inside an existing sectional door so the outer door can stay open during the shift.
- Interlocking two high-speed doors as an airlock between a clean production area and the general warehouse.
Safety law for industrial doors in England
Industrial doors in Great Yarmouth are covered by the same rules as the rest of Great Britain. On handover you should receive user instructions and, for a powered door, the conformity paperwork, because the installer is treated as the manufacturer when they assemble or motorise it. Afterwards, keeping the door in efficient working order is the occupier's job under the Workplace Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998, which in practice means regular servicing and a written log.
Planning the work around your site
If your premises are leased, check whether the landlord needs to approve the work. We can provide drawings and product data for the landlord or managing agent before the order is placed.
