What we fit in Nelson

Compact coil. The curtain winds onto a barrel above the opening, leaving floor and roof space free.
Steel curtains. Heavier lath gauges for wide or exposed doors; lighter profiles where space and budget are tight.
Colour finishes. Leave it galvanised or choose a colour that matches the building.
Manual override. If the power fails, the shutter can still be wound open by hand.
Mounting options. Fixed inside, in the reveal or face-fixed outside with a protective hood.

Jobs we can carry out

Renewing the bottom rail, floor seal and end locks on a roller shutter that jams in its guides.
Replacing a vehicle-damaged shutter in a trade yard with a heavier-gauge curtain and guide-rail protection.
Face-fixing a roller shutter with a steel hood where internal racking leaves no room behind the opening.

Safety law for industrial doors in England

Industrial doors in Nelson are covered by the same rules as the rest of Great Britain. On handover you should receive user instructions and, for a powered door, the conformity paperwork, because the installer is treated as the manufacturer when they assemble or motorise it. Afterwards, keeping the door in efficient working order is the occupier's job under the Workplace Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998, which in practice means regular servicing and a written log.

How the work is organised

Downtime matters on a working site, so the programme is set around your shifts. For a single door the opening is usually needed for a day; multi-door jobs are done one bay at a time so deliveries keep moving.
