What we fit in Rotherham

Compact coil. Nothing runs back under the roof: the shutter coils up neatly above the lintel.
Safety devices. Safety edges, photocells and anti-fall devices on powered shutters.
Steel curtains. Heavier lath gauges for wide or exposed doors; lighter profiles where space and budget are tight.
Colour finishes. Plain galvanised or powder-coated to a RAL colour.
Mounting options. We mount the shutter wherever it fits most easily, including outside with a hood over the coil.

Jobs we can carry out

Renewing the bottom rail, floor seal and end locks on a roller shutter that jams in its guides.
Replacing a vehicle-damaged shutter in a trade yard with a heavier-gauge curtain and guide-rail protection.
Face-fixing a roller shutter with a steel hood where internal racking leaves no room behind the opening.

Safety law for industrial doors in England

Industrial doors in Rotherham are covered by the same rules as the rest of Great Britain. On handover you should receive user instructions and, for a powered door, the conformity paperwork, because the installer is treated as the manufacturer when they assemble or motorise it. Afterwards, keeping the door in efficient working order is the occupier's job under the Workplace Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998, which in practice means regular servicing and a written log.

How the work is organised

Electrical work is the part that most often delays a job. If a new or converted door needs a supply, we confirm the motor's requirement at quote stage so your electrician can provide an isolator in the right place before installation day.

Industrial roller shutters in Rotherham: your questions

How quickly can a roller shutter be fitted in Rotherham?

Once the made-to-measure shutter arrives, most single doors are fitted and commissioned in a day. The manufacturer's lead time is confirmed with your quote, and installation is booked around your opening hours.

Can you supply security-rated shutters in Rotherham?

Yes. Where your insurer asks for a rating such as LPS 1175, we supply a shutter whose manufacturer holds that certification and install it to the certified specification. Check the exact rating your insurer wants before ordering.

Can you convert our manual shutter in Rotherham to electric?

Often, yes, if the barrel, curtain and guides are in good condition. Our guide price for a conversion is £1,195 to £3,195 ex VAT. We become responsible for the conformity paperwork on the converted door and fit the safety devices it needs.
