Options for insulated roller shutter doors in Farnworth

Colour choice. Choose a colour to suit your building, with a matching hood over the coil if wanted.
Electric drive. Motor inside the barrel or on its end, with a chain or handle so the door still opens without power.
Wind locks. Lath end locks for exposed or wide doors to stop the curtain blowing out.
Compact coil. The curtain coils above the opening, leaving ceilings free for lights and sprinklers.
Controls. From a simple button station to loops and radar, the controls match how often the door opens.

Examples of work we can quote for

Renewing worn guide brushes, the head seal and the bottom-rail seal on an insulated roller door that lets in draughts.
Installing an insulated roller door with induction loop activation on a busy internal forklift route.
Converting a hand-chained insulated roller door to electric operation with a safety edge and photocells.

Safety law for industrial doors in England

Industrial doors in Farnworth are covered by the same rules as the rest of Great Britain. On handover you should receive user instructions and, for a powered door, the conformity paperwork, because the installer is treated as the manufacturer when they assemble or motorise it. Afterwards, keeping the door in efficient working order is the occupier's job under the Workplace Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998, which in practice means regular servicing and a written log.

How the work is organised

Most installations in Farnworth can be phased so part of the site keeps working. We agree access routes, exclusion zones and any temporary security with you before the team arrives, and can work early mornings, evenings or weekends where the business needs it.

Insulated roller shutter doors in Farnworth: your questions

How much does an insulated roller shutter door cost in Farnworth?

Our guide price for an electric insulated roller door up to about 4 × 4 m is £3,195 to £7,495 ex VAT, supplied and fitted. We survey your Farnworth opening free of charge and then put a fixed price in writing.

How long does insulated roller door installation take in Farnworth?

Most single doors are fitted and commissioned in a day once the made-to-measure door has arrived. The manufacturer's lead time is confirmed with your quote so you can plan around it.

Can you replace our old roller shutter in Farnworth with an insulated one?

Yes. We recommend a complete new door rather than a new curtain on old parts, and include strip-out and disposal in the quote so the old shutter goes when the new one is fitted.
