What we fit in Chingford

Insulated panels. Steel sandwich panels with a foam core keep heat in and noise out; thicker panels are available for temperature-controlled units.
Electric drives. Shaft-mounted motors with push-button, remote, loop or radar control, and inverter drives for high-cycle bays.
Paperwork. Declaration of Performance, user instructions and commissioning records handed over on completion.
Track layouts. We pick the track after measuring headroom and obstructions, so the door clears lights, sprinklers and crane rails.
Safety devices. Every powered door is fitted with the safety functions its risk assessment needs and force-tested before handover.

Typical scopes of work

Replacing a draughty single-skin roller shutter with an insulated sectional door and a low-threshold wicket door.
Supplying sectional doors in a RAL colour matched to the existing cladding as part of a unit refurbishment between tenants.
Converting a manual chain-operated sectional door to electric operation with a shaft-mounted motor, safety edge and photocells.

Powered door rules that apply in Chingford

Chingford is in England, where powered industrial doors fall under Great Britain's health and safety law. Whoever makes a door powered — including converting a manual door — usually takes on the manufacturer's duties under the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008: risk assessment, technical file, conformity marking and a Declaration of Conformity. Once it is in use, the employer or occupier must keep it safe under the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998.

How the work is organised

If your premises are leased, check whether the landlord needs to approve the work. We can provide drawings and product data for the landlord or managing agent before the order is placed.

Questions from businesses in Chingford

Will a sectional door reduce heating costs at our Chingford premises?

An insulated, well-sealed sectional door loses much less heat than a single-skin shutter, and keeping it closed with fast electric operation helps further. Actual savings depend on your building, heating and how often the door is open.

Do you survey sites in Chingford before quoting?

Yes. Surveys for new and replacement doors are free. We measure the opening, headroom and obstructions, check the fixings and power supply, and discuss how the door will be used before we price it.

How soon can a sectional door be fitted in Chingford?

Sectional doors are made to measure, so the manufacturer's lead time sets the date. We confirm it with the quote, book installation around your operations and fit most single doors in a day once the opening is ready.
