What we fit in Stowmarket

Safety devices. Every powered door is fitted with the safety functions its risk assessment needs and force-tested before handover.
Paperwork. Declaration of Performance, user instructions and commissioning records handed over on completion.
Finishes. RAL colours to match cladding, with stucco or woodgrain embossing on the outer skin.
Wicket doors. Integrated pass doors, including low-threshold versions, for staff access without opening the main door.
Track layouts. We pick the track after measuring headroom and obstructions, so the door clears lights, sprinklers and crane rails.

Typical scopes of work

Converting a manual chain-operated sectional door to electric operation with a shaft-mounted motor, safety edge and photocells.
Adding induction loops and an inverter drive so forklifts can open a busy internal sectional door without stopping.
Fitting a bank of insulated sectional doors to a new distribution unit, with high-lift tracks to clear sprinkler mains and lighting.

Safety law for industrial doors in England

Industrial doors in Stowmarket are covered by the same rules as the rest of Great Britain. On handover you should receive user instructions and, for a powered door, the conformity paperwork, because the installer is treated as the manufacturer when they assemble or motorise it. Afterwards, keeping the door in efficient working order is the occupier's job under the Workplace Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998, which in practice means regular servicing and a written log.

How the work is organised

Electrical work is the part that most often delays a job. If a new or converted door needs a supply, we confirm the motor's requirement at quote stage so your electrician can provide an isolator in the right place before installation day.
