Options for sliding and folding industrial doors in Angus and Dundee

Electric operation. Motor drives with safety edges, photocells and guarding where needed.
Folding leaves. Bi-folding leaves stack neatly where side wall space is limited.
No headroom needed. Leaves move sideways, so nothing coils above or runs under the roof.
Wide spans. Openings of almost any width split into as many leaves as needed.
Wicket doors. A personnel door within a leaf saves sliding the main door for every visit.

Jobs we can carry out

Renewing seized trolleys and a distorted overhead track on large sliding doors to a vehicle shed.
Replacing a damaged floor rail and guide wheels on a bottom-rolling door struck by a vehicle.
Adding a steel support beam and top-hung track so a sliding door leaves the floor flush for forklifts.

Safety law for industrial doors in Scotland

Industrial doors in Angus and Dundee are covered by the same rules as the rest of Great Britain. On handover you should receive user instructions and, for a powered door, the conformity paperwork, because the installer is treated as the manufacturer when they assemble or motorise it. Afterwards, keeping the door in efficient working order is the occupier's job under the Workplace Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998, which in practice means regular servicing and a written log.

Planning the work around your site

If your premises are leased, check whether the landlord needs to approve the work. We can provide drawings and product data for the landlord or managing agent before the order is placed.
