What we fit in Stonehaven
- Specialist grades. Anti-insect, anti-static and weld-screen strips for specific areas.
- Sliding rails. Where big loads come through, the curtain can slide or swing out of the way.
- Traffic passes freely. People, trolleys and forklifts push straight through the overlapping strips.
- Polar grade. Low-temperature PVC that stays flexible in chillers and freezers.
- Ribbed strips. Raised ribs take forklift and pallet abrasion, keeping strips clearer for longer.
Typical scopes of work
- Hanging a polar-grade strip curtain behind a cold store door to reduce the cold air lost during loading.
- Installing weld-screen strip curtains around welding bays in a fabrication workshop to protect nearby staff.
- Replacing scratched, cloudy strips on a forklift route so drivers and pedestrians can see each other clearly.
Keeping strip curtains safe in Scotland
The business running the site in Stonehaven must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.
Planning the work around your site
Most installations in Stonehaven can be phased so part of the site keeps working. We agree access routes, exclusion zones and any temporary security with you before the team arrives, and can work early mornings, evenings or weekends where the business needs it.

PVC strip curtains in Stonehaven: your questions
How quickly can strip curtains be fitted in Stonehaven?
Once strips are cut to length, fitting usually takes an hour or two per doorway, so several openings can often be completed in one visit with very little disruption to your operations.
Which strip curtain grade suits our Stonehaven premises?
Standard clear PVC suits most ambient doorways. Polar grade is needed for chillers and freezers, ribbed strips for heavy forklift routes, and tinted grades for insect control or welding areas. We recommend a grade after seeing the opening.
How often should strip curtains in Stonehaven be replaced?
It depends on traffic. Pedestrian doorways can go years between changes; busy forklift routes need new strips sooner. Replace any strip that is torn, cloudy or badly scratched so visibility stays good.
