What we fit in County Armagh
- Sliding rails. Where big loads come through, the curtain can slide or swing out of the way.
- Hook-on strips. Replace a single damaged strip without taking the whole curtain down.
- Ribbed strips. Ribs protect the clear face of each strip from scratches on busy vehicle routes.
- Traffic passes freely. Nothing to open or close: traffic simply pushes through and the strips drop back.
- No power. With no electrics involved, the curtain keeps working with only cleaning and strip renewal.
What this work can involve
- Replacing scratched, cloudy strips on a forklift route so drivers and pedestrians can see each other clearly.
- Fitting ribbed PVC strip curtains inside loading bay doors so the doors can stay open between deliveries.
- Supplying replacement strips cut to length for existing hook-on rails across several doorways in one visit.
Traffic route rules in Northern Ireland
In Northern Ireland, the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1993 require traffic routes to be organised so pedestrians and vehicles can move safely and kept in good repair, with HSENI as the regulator. Clear, undamaged strips are part of that.
Access, phasing and timing
Before work starts we send a method statement and risk assessment, confirm who on site will be our contact and agree where materials and access equipment will go. On shared industrial estates that can mean booking yard space with the landlord.

Frequently asked questions
Which strip curtain grade suits our County Armagh premises?
Standard clear PVC suits most ambient doorways. Polar grade is needed for chillers and freezers, ribbed strips for heavy forklift routes, and tinted grades for insect control or welding areas. We recommend a grade after seeing the opening.
How much is a PVC strip curtain in County Armagh?
Our guide price is £175 to £895 ex VAT per doorway, supplied and fitted, depending on opening size, strip grade and rail type. We confirm the fixed price for your openings in County Armagh in writing after a free survey.
How often should strip curtains in County Armagh be replaced?
It depends on traffic. Pedestrian doorways can go years between changes; busy forklift routes need new strips sooner. Replace any strip that is torn, cloudy or badly scratched so visibility stays good.
