What to specify
- Sliding rails. Sliding or swing-away rails move the curtain clear for oversized loads.
- Draught control. A curtain across the opening holds back draughts and helps keep temperatures steady.
- Traffic passes freely. People, trolleys and forklifts push straight through the overlapping strips.
- No power. With no electrics involved, the curtain keeps working with only cleaning and strip renewal.
- Specialist grades. Tinted strips for insect control or welding bays, and anti-static grades where needed.
Typical scopes of work
- Adding a swing-away rail so a strip curtain can be moved clear for long or oversized loads.
- Supplying replacement strips cut to length for existing hook-on rails across several doorways in one visit.
- Installing weld-screen strip curtains around welding bays in a fabrication workshop to protect nearby staff.
Keeping strip curtains safe in England
The business running the site in Eastbourne must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.
Planning the work around your site
For busy sites in East Sussex the work can be split across visits — preparation and framing first, door installation and commissioning second — so the opening is only out of action for the shortest time.
