What we fit in Herefordshire
- Sliding rails. Sliding or swing-away rails move the curtain clear for oversized loads.
- Traffic passes freely. Nothing to open or close: traffic simply pushes through and the strips drop back.
- Hook-on strips. Worn strips lift off and new ones hook on in seconds.
- Ribbed strips. Ribs protect the clear face of each strip from scratches on busy vehicle routes.
- Specialist grades. Anti-insect, anti-static and weld-screen strips for specific areas.
What this work can involve
- Fitting anti-insect strips to the rear door of a bakery or food unit to deter flying insects.
- Adding a swing-away rail so a strip curtain can be moved clear for long or oversized loads.
- Fitting ribbed PVC strip curtains inside loading bay doors so the doors can stay open between deliveries.
Keeping strip curtains safe in England
The business running the site in Herefordshire must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.
How the work is organised
Most installations in Herefordshire can be phased so part of the site keeps working. We agree access routes, exclusion zones and any temporary security with you before the team arrives, and can work early mornings, evenings or weekends where the business needs it.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a PVC strip curtain in Herefordshire?
Our guide price is £175 to £895 ex VAT per doorway, supplied and fitted, depending on opening size, strip grade and rail type. We confirm the fixed price for your openings in Herefordshire in writing after a free survey.
Which strip curtain grade suits our Herefordshire premises?
Standard clear PVC suits most ambient doorways. Polar grade is needed for chillers and freezers, ribbed strips for heavy forklift routes, and tinted grades for insect control or welding areas. We recommend a grade after seeing the opening.
How often should strip curtains in Herefordshire be replaced?
It depends on traffic. Pedestrian doorways can go years between changes; busy forklift routes need new strips sooner. Replace any strip that is torn, cloudy or badly scratched so visibility stays good.
