The short version
We can supply and fit standard, polar, ribbed, anti-insect and weld-screen strip curtains in Rotherham and across South Yorkshire, plus replacement strips cut to the right length for rails you already have.

- Rotherham
- Postcode district
- S60
- Area
- South Yorkshire
- Survey
- Free for new installations
What to specify
- Polar grade. Low-temperature PVC that stays flexible in chillers and freezers.
- Sliding rails. Sliding or swing-away rails move the curtain clear for oversized loads.
- Traffic passes freely. Nothing to open or close: traffic simply pushes through and the strips drop back.
- Ribbed strips. Raised ribs take forklift and pallet abrasion, keeping strips clearer for longer.
- Draught control. Strips cut the loss of heated or chilled air through busy openings.
What this work can involve
- Supplying polar-grade strips for a freezer doorway where standard PVC stiffens and cracks in the cold.
- Fitting ribbed PVC strip curtains inside loading bay doors so the doors can stay open between deliveries.
- Supplying replacement strips cut to length for existing hook-on rails across several doorways in one visit.
Traffic route rules that apply in Rotherham
Strip curtains sit on workplace traffic routes, so in England the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 apply: traffic routes must be organised so pedestrians and vehicles can move safely (regulation 17) and kept in good repair (regulation 5). That is why clear strips, good visibility and prompt replacement of scratched or missing strips matter.
How the work is organised
Where a door is being replaced, the opening has to be made secure at the end of each day. We plan strip-out, any new framing and the new door so the gap is never left open overnight unless you have agreed temporary measures.

Frequently asked questions
Can you supply replacement strips for our existing curtains in Rotherham?
Yes. We supply replacement strips cut to the right length for your existing rail, matched to the grade and width already fitted, and can fit them or leave them for your team.
How often should strip curtains in Rotherham be replaced?
It depends on traffic. Pedestrian doorways can go years between changes; busy forklift routes need new strips sooner. Replace any strip that is torn, cloudy or badly scratched so visibility stays good.
Do strip curtains work in cold stores around South Yorkshire?
Yes, with polar-grade PVC that stays flexible at low temperatures. We fit strip curtains inside cold store and freezer doors across South Yorkshire to cut the cold air lost while doors are open.
