Options for cold store and freezer doors in Dunstable
- Hygienic finishes. Smooth, cleanable finishes chosen to meet your hygiene and audit standards.
- Tight seals. The leaf pulls in against its gaskets on closing so cold air stays where it belongs.
- Heated frames. Freezer frames and thresholds are kept just warm enough that ice cannot form on the seals.
- Impact protection. Kick plates, buffers and bollards to keep trucks off leaves and frames.
- Pressure relief. We check pressure relief so a tightly sealed room does not suck the door shut.
Jobs we can carry out
- Replacing an iced-up sliding freezer door with a new insulated door, heated frame and heated threshold.
- Renewing worn gaskets and the frame heater on a chiller door that no longer seals properly.
- Fitting freezer-grade PVC strip curtains behind cold store doors that stand open during loading.
Safety law for industrial doors in England
Industrial doors in Dunstable are covered by the same rules as the rest of Great Britain. On handover you should receive user instructions and, for a powered door, the conformity paperwork, because the installer is treated as the manufacturer when they assemble or motorise it. Afterwards, keeping the door in efficient working order is the occupier's job under the Workplace Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998, which in practice means regular servicing and a written log.
Keeping your site running during the work
Sites in and around Dunstable vary from tight trade counters to large distribution yards. The survey records access for our vehicle and platform, overhead obstructions and floor condition so the installation day runs without surprises.

Questions from businesses in Dunstable
Can you replace a freezer door at our Dunstable site without losing stock?
We plan the change with you and your refrigeration engineer. Many doors can be swapped in a day, sometimes with stock moved or the plant set back temporarily, so the room returns to temperature quickly.
Do you repair cold store doors in Dunstable?
Yes. We replace gaskets, frame heaters, rollers, tracks, releases and drives on most makes. Repair visits are chargeable, and we quote before larger repairs or recommend replacement when the leaf itself has failed.
Can our cold store door in Dunstable be made electric?
Often, yes, if the leaf and track are sound, or with a new electric sliding door. Powered cold store doors need safety edges and photocells and a drive suited to the temperature.
