Safety law for industrial doors in England
Industrial doors in Beckenham are covered by the same rules as the rest of Great Britain. On handover you should receive user instructions and, for a powered door, the conformity paperwork, because the installer is treated as the manufacturer when they assemble or motorise it. Afterwards, keeping the door in efficient working order is the occupier's job under the Workplace Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998, which in practice means regular servicing and a written log.
Access, phasing and timing
If your premises are leased, check whether the landlord needs to approve the work. We can provide drawings and product data for the landlord or managing agent before the order is placed.

Cold store and freezer doors in Beckenham: your questions
Why is our cold room door in Beckenham hard to open after it closes?
Usually negative pressure: air inside cools and contracts once the door seals. A correctly sized pressure relief valve, heated on freezers, solves this. We check for one on survey and can fit it with a new door.
Can our cold store door in Beckenham be made electric?
Often, yes, if the leaf and track are sound, or with a new electric sliding door. Powered cold store doors need safety edges and photocells and a drive suited to the temperature.
Do you supply cold store doors for food businesses in Greater London?
Yes. We supply and fit cold store doors with hygienic finishes for food producers, processors, distributors and commercial kitchens across Greater London, and we talk through your hygiene, cleaning and audit requirements at the survey before recommending a finish.
