What we fit in Corby
- Hygienic finishes. Smooth, cleanable finishes chosen to meet your hygiene and audit standards.
- Thick insulation. Foam-filled leaves sized to the room temperature, from chillers to freezers.
- Impact protection. Kick plates, buffers and bollards to keep trucks off leaves and frames.
- Pressure relief. Relief valves to balance pressure after the door closes or during defrost.
- Heated frames. Heater cables in freezer door frames stop ice welding the seals shut.
Examples of work we can quote for
- Replacing an iced-up sliding freezer door with a new insulated door, heated frame and heated threshold.
- Fitting freezer-grade PVC strip curtains behind cold store doors that stand open during loading.
- Adding a heated pressure relief valve to a freezer room where suction makes the door hard to open once it closes.
Safety law for industrial doors in England
Industrial doors in Corby are covered by the same rules as the rest of Great Britain. On handover you should receive user instructions and, for a powered door, the conformity paperwork, because the installer is treated as the manufacturer when they assemble or motorise it. Afterwards, keeping the door in efficient working order is the occupier's job under the Workplace Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998, which in practice means regular servicing and a written log.
Keeping your site running during the work
Most installations in Corby can be phased so part of the site keeps working. We agree access routes, exclusion zones and any temporary security with you before the team arrives, and can work early mornings, evenings or weekends where the business needs it.
