Options for cold store and freezer doors in Ashington

Electric sliding. Motorised sliding doors with pull cords, radar or loops and safety edges.
Tight seals. Compressible gaskets pressed against the frame as the door closes.
Heated frames. Freezer frames and thresholds are kept just warm enough that ice cannot form on the seals.
Hygienic finishes. Smooth, cleanable finishes chosen to meet your hygiene and audit standards.
Inside release. Every door can be opened from inside without a key, even if locked from outside.

What this work can involve

Adding a heated pressure relief valve to a freezer room where suction makes the door hard to open once it closes.
Installing a high-speed freezer door in front of an existing sliding cold store door on a busy picking route.
Motorising a heavy manual cold store door with pull-cord activation, a safety edge on the closing leaf and photocells.

Powered door rules that apply in Ashington

Ashington is in England, where powered industrial doors fall under Great Britain's health and safety law. Whoever makes a door powered — including converting a manual door — usually takes on the manufacturer's duties under the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008: risk assessment, technical file, conformity marking and a Declaration of Conformity. Once it is in use, the employer or occupier must keep it safe under the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998.

Planning the work around your site

Downtime matters on a working site, so the programme is set around your shifts. For a single door the opening is usually needed for a day; multi-door jobs are done one bay at a time so deliveries keep moving.
