Industrial door motor replacement in Highbury

The short version

Industrial door motor replacement for roller shutters, sectional doors and sliding doors in Highbury. We diagnose the fault, match a new drive to the door and re-commission it with safety devices tested.

Town: Highbury
Postcode district: N5
Area: Greater London
Guide price: £845 – £2,395

What's included

Force testing. Where it applies, we measure closing forces to confirm the door is safe after the change.
Fault diagnosis. Diagnosis comes first, so you only pay for the parts the door actually needs.
Panel upgrades. New control panels with monitored safety inputs and inverter options.
Obsolete motors. When a motor is discontinued, we fit a suitable alternative and adapt the mounting.
Matched drives. Each replacement drive is selected for the door it will move, not just the old part number.

Jobs we can carry out

Upgrading an old relay control panel to a modern unit with monitored safety edge inputs during a motor change.
Fitting a centre-mounted motor where an end-mounted replacement would clash with racking beside the door.
Re-commissioning a sectional door once a new motor is fitted, including new limit settings and closing force tests.

Safety law for industrial doors in England

Industrial doors in Highbury are covered by the same rules as the rest of Great Britain. On handover you should receive user instructions and, for a powered door, the conformity paperwork, because the installer is treated as the manufacturer when they assemble or motorise it. Afterwards, keeping the door in efficient working order is the occupier's job under the Workplace Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998, which in practice means regular servicing and a written log.

How the work is organised

Testing and repairs can mean closing an opening, so we agree timing and access with you before the visit, including early, late or weekend slots where the site needs them.
