Typical scopes of work
- Replacing a busy internal shutter with a high-speed fabric door so the opening is no longer left standing open.

- Replacing a corroded single-skin roller shutter on a trade unit with an insulated roller door and electric operation.
Who is responsible for door safety at a site in Shropshire?
In England, two sets of duties meet at a powered door. The installer who supplies or motorises it must hand over a door that meets the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008, tested against BS EN 12453 and documented. The business in control of the premises must then maintain it: regulation 5 of the Workplace Regulations 1992 covers maintenance, and regulation 18 requires upward-opening doors to have a device that stops them falling back and powered doors to have features that prevent trapping.
Keeping your site running during the work
Sites in and around Shropshire vary from tight trade counters to large distribution yards. The survey records access for our vehicle and platform, overhead obstructions and floor condition so the installation day runs without surprises.

Your questions about industrial door replacement
Is the survey free for door replacement in Shropshire?
Yes. Surveys for replacements are free. We assess the old door and opening, measure for the new door, and quote a fixed price that lists the door, strip-out, disposal and any opening works separately.
How much does industrial door replacement cost in Shropshire?
Strip-out and disposal has a guide price of £345 to £1,195 ex VAT per door, plus the new door, for example £2,395 to £5,495 for an electric single-skin roller shutter. We confirm the full fixed price in writing after a free survey in Shropshire.
How long will our opening in Shropshire be out of use?
The new door is made to measure before the old one is removed, so a single door is usually stripped out and replaced in a day, with the opening secured again by the end of the visit.
