Powered door rules that apply in Evesham

Evesham is in England, where powered industrial doors fall under Great Britain's health and safety law. Whoever makes a door powered — including converting a manual door — usually takes on the manufacturer's duties under the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008: risk assessment, technical file, conformity marking and a Declaration of Conformity. Once it is in use, the employer or occupier must keep it safe under the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998.

Access, phasing and timing

Most installations in Evesham can be phased so part of the site keeps working. We agree access routes, exclusion zones and any temporary security with you before the team arrives, and can work early mornings, evenings or weekends where the business needs it.

Industrial door replacement in Evesham: your questions

Can we change door type when replacing at our Evesham unit?

Usually, yes, subject to headroom, side room and back room. Common upgrades are single-skin to insulated, manual to electric and conventional to high-speed. We check the space and the structure on survey before recommending a door type.

Do you take the old door away from our Evesham site?

Yes. Strip-out includes removing the old door, springs, guides and drive from site for recycling or disposal. It is priced as a separate line in the quote so you can see exactly what removal costs.

Is the survey free for door replacement in Evesham?

Yes. Surveys for replacements are free. We assess the old door and opening, measure for the new door, and quote a fixed price that lists the door, strip-out, disposal and any opening works separately.
