Options that matter on site
- Drives and controls. Electric drives per leaf or central, with manual or emergency operation.
- Load path. Bottom-rolling on floor rails or top-hung from the structure, agreed with your engineer.
- Vertical-lift fabric. Reinforced fabric curtains with wind bars that fold up beneath the lintel.
- Wind resistance. Closed doors are designed to resist the wind pressure your site can see without jamming.
- Safety systems. Large doors move a lot of mass, so warning and detection devices are built in from the start.
What this work can involve
- Installing heavy-duty sectional doors with wind-resistant panels across the frontage of a bus or coach garage.
- Fitting a vertical-lift fabric door to a tall vehicle maintenance shed where adjoining buildings take up the side space.
- Refurbishing manual large-span sliding doors with new bottom wheels, top guides and an electric drive unit on each leaf.
Safety law for industrial doors in Wales
Industrial doors in Haverfordwest are covered by the same rules as the rest of Great Britain. On handover you should receive user instructions and, for a powered door, the conformity paperwork, because the installer is treated as the manufacturer when they assemble or motorise it. Afterwards, keeping the door in efficient working order is the occupier's job under the Workplace Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998, which in practice means regular servicing and a written log.
Keeping your site running during the work
Sites in and around Haverfordwest vary from tight trade counters to large distribution yards. The survey records access for our vehicle and platform, overhead obstructions and floor condition so the installation day runs without surprises.

Hangar and large-span doors in Haverfordwest: your questions
Do you work on hangar door projects with our engineer in Haverfordwest?
Yes. We coordinate loads, fixings, floor rails and steelwork with your structural engineer and main contractor so the door and the building are designed together, and we agree a programme before manufacture.
Can you refurbish our existing hangar doors in Haverfordwest?
Often, yes. If the leaves are sound, we renew wheels, guides, drives, cladding and safety devices. Where distortion or corrosion is severe, we explain why replacement may be better value.
Do you service large doors across Dyfed?
Yes. We service and repair hangar and large-span doors across Dyfed, including running gear, drives, controls and safety devices. Service and repair visits are chargeable and quoted before work starts.
