What to specify
- Breakaway bottom bars. Bottom bars that release on impact to limit damage to the door and the vehicle.
- Self-repairing curtains. After a knock, many curtains reset themselves automatically instead of waiting for an engineer.
- Inverter drives. Soft start and stop protect the curtain and drive at high cycle rates.
- Vision panels. See-through panels let drivers and pedestrians spot each other before the door opens.
- Fabric doors. PVC-coated fabric roll-up doors for internal routes and sheltered external openings.
Jobs we can carry out
- Fitting a self-repairing fabric door between production and dispatch where a conventional shutter stands open all shift.
- Interlocking two high-speed doors as an airlock between a clean production area and the general warehouse.
- Adding a high-speed fabric door inside an existing sectional door so the outer door can stay open during the shift.
Powered door rules that apply in Windsor
Windsor is in England, where powered industrial doors fall under Great Britain's health and safety law. Whoever makes a door powered — including converting a manual door — usually takes on the manufacturer's duties under the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008: risk assessment, technical file, conformity marking and a Declaration of Conformity. Once it is in use, the employer or occupier must keep it safe under the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998.
Planning the work around your site
For busy sites in Berkshire the work can be split across visits — preparation and framing first, door installation and commissioning second — so the opening is only out of action for the shortest time.

Your questions about high-speed doors
How much does a high-speed door cost in Windsor?
Our guide price is £7,495 to £15,995 ex VAT for a high-speed fabric door and £17,995 to £34,995 for a spiral (rigid slat) door, supplied and fitted. We survey your Windsor opening free of charge and then confirm a fixed price in writing.
Can you fit a high-speed door alongside our existing door in Windsor?
Often, yes. A high-speed door can sit inside or outside an existing shutter or sectional door, with the conventional door closed at night. We check the space and fixings on survey.
How long does it take to install a high-speed door in Windsor?
A typical fabric door is fitted and commissioned in a day once it arrives. Spiral doors, interlocks and floor loops add time. The manufacturer's lead time is confirmed with your quote, and we fit around your operations.
