What we fit in Wallington

Inverter drives. Soft start and stop protect the curtain and drive at high cycle rates.
Light curtains. Sensors along the side frames watch the whole opening and keep the door open while it is occupied.
Spiral doors. Aluminium slats that never touch as they run, giving speed, insulation and security in one door.
Breakaway bottom bars. If a truck catches the door, the bottom bar breaks away rather than bending the frame.
Fabric doors. Lightweight roll-up curtains that suit most internal doorways and many protected external ones.

Examples of work we can quote for

Cutting induction loops on both sides of a high-speed door so forklifts trigger it but pedestrians do not.
Interlocking two high-speed doors as an airlock between a clean production area and the general warehouse.
Installing an insulated spiral door as the main external opening on a temperature-controlled distribution unit.

Powered door rules that apply in Wallington

Wallington is in England, where powered industrial doors fall under Great Britain's health and safety law. Whoever makes a door powered — including converting a manual door — usually takes on the manufacturer's duties under the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008: risk assessment, technical file, conformity marking and a Declaration of Conformity. Once it is in use, the employer or occupier must keep it safe under the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998.

Keeping your site running during the work

Electrical work is the part that most often delays a job. If a new or converted door needs a supply, we confirm the motor's requirement at quote stage so your electrician can provide an isolator in the right place before installation day.
