Jobs we can carry out

Installing a fire shutter in a compartment wall where a conveyor line passes between production and dispatch areas.
Fitting sectional doors, a high-speed internal door and steel personnel doors to a new-build warehouse as one coordinated package.
Phasing the replacement of several loading bay doors over consecutive weekends so goods-in stays open during the week.

Powered door rules that apply in St Neots

St Neots is in England, where powered industrial doors fall under Great Britain's health and safety law. Whoever makes a door powered — including converting a manual door — usually takes on the manufacturer's duties under the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008: risk assessment, technical file, conformity marking and a Declaration of Conformity. Once it is in use, the employer or occupier must keep it safe under the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998.

Access, phasing and timing

For busy sites in Cambridgeshire the work can be split across visits — preparation and framing first, door installation and commissioning second — so the opening is only out of action for the shortest time.

Frequently asked questions

Is the survey free for sites in St Neots?

Yes, for new installations and replacements. We measure the opening and the space around it, check fixings, power and obstructions, and talk through how the door is used before preparing a written quote. Repair and service visits are charged separately.

Can you replace an old door at our St Neots unit and take the old one away?

Yes. Strip-out and disposal of the old door is priced as a separate line, along with any new framing or making good the opening needs. We confirm these details at survey so nothing is left to agree on the day.

How soon could a new door be installed at our St Neots premises?

It depends mainly on the manufacturer's lead time for a made-to-measure door, which we confirm in the quote. Installation is then booked around your operations, and most single doors are fitted and commissioned in a day.
