Typical scopes of work

Specifying and fitting a complete goods-in bay with sectional door, hydraulic dock leveller, retractable shelter and bollards.

Fitting sectional doors, a high-speed internal door and steel personnel doors to a new-build warehouse as one coordinated package.

Powered door rules that apply in Middlesbrough

Middlesbrough is in England, where powered industrial doors fall under Great Britain's health and safety law. Whoever makes a door powered — including converting a manual door — usually takes on the manufacturer's duties under the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008: risk assessment, technical file, conformity marking and a Declaration of Conformity. Once it is in use, the employer or occupier must keep it safe under the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998.

How the work is organised

Electrical work is the part that most often delays a job. If a new or converted door needs a supply, we confirm the motor's requirement at quote stage so your electrician can provide an isolator in the right place before installation day.
