What to specify

Colour finishes. Leave it galvanised or choose a colour that matches the building.
Mounting options. Fixed inside, in the reveal or face-fixed outside with a protective hood.
Manual override. Powered shutters keep a chain or handle override so they open without power.
Compact coil. The curtain winds onto a barrel above the opening, leaving floor and roof space free.
Safety devices. Motorised shutters get the safety functions their risk assessment needs before handover.

Jobs we can carry out

Fitting a galvanised roller shutter to a new bin store or recycling compound, with a lockable bottom rail.
Converting hand-chained shutters on a storage unit to electric operation with key-switch controls and safety edges.
Supplying a security-rated roller shutter, installed to the certified specification, to meet an insurer's requirement for a high-value stockroom.

Safety law for industrial doors in England

Industrial doors in Trowbridge are covered by the same rules as the rest of Great Britain. On handover you should receive user instructions and, for a powered door, the conformity paperwork, because the installer is treated as the manufacturer when they assemble or motorise it. Afterwards, keeping the door in efficient working order is the occupier's job under the Workplace Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998, which in practice means regular servicing and a written log.

Access, phasing and timing

Electrical work is the part that most often delays a job. If a new or converted door needs a supply, we confirm the motor's requirement at quote stage so your electrician can provide an isolator in the right place before installation day.
