Options that matter on site

Compact coil. No tracks under the roof: the door rolls up into a neat coil above the lintel.
Weather seals. Seals along the guides, head and bottom rail stop wind-driven rain and cold air getting in.
Colour choice. Choose a colour to suit your building, with a matching hood over the coil if wanted.
Safety devices. Every powered door gets the safety functions its risk assessment calls for and is tested before handover.
Wind locks. On exposed elevations, wind locks hook the laths into the guides so gusts cannot push the curtain out.

Examples of work we can quote for

Fitting a compact insulated service door to a plant room to reduce the noise reaching neighbouring offices.
Renewing worn guide brushes, the head seal and the bottom-rail seal on an insulated roller door that lets in draughts.
Fitting an insulated roller door to a trade counter unit where sprinkler mains leave no room for sectional door tracks.

Powered door rules that apply in Taunton

Taunton is in England, where powered industrial doors fall under Great Britain's health and safety law. Whoever makes a door powered — including converting a manual door — usually takes on the manufacturer's duties under the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008: risk assessment, technical file, conformity marking and a Declaration of Conformity. Once it is in use, the employer or occupier must keep it safe under the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998.

Access, phasing and timing

Most installations in Taunton can be phased so part of the site keeps working. We agree access routes, exclusion zones and any temporary security with you before the team arrives, and can work early mornings, evenings or weekends where the business needs it.
