Which workplace rules apply to these doors?

For premises in Taunton, the Workplace Regulations 1992 set the basics: doors suitably constructed, swing doors giving a clear view through when closed, and maintenance under regulation 5. Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, an emergency exit door must open easily in the direction of travel and must not be locked or fastened so it cannot be opened immediately in an emergency.

Planning the work around your site

For busy sites in Somerset the work can be split across visits — preparation and framing first, door installation and commissioning second — so the opening is only out of action for the shortest time.
