Options for insulated roller shutter doors in Aldridge

Foam-filled laths. Double-skin laths with a polyurethane core cut heat loss compared with single skin.
Controls. Buttons, key switches, remotes, induction loops or radar to suit your traffic.
Compact coil. The curtain coils above the opening, leaving ceilings free for lights and sprinklers.
Safety devices. Safety edges, photocells and anti-fall devices fitted as the risk assessment requires.
Wind locks. On exposed elevations, wind locks hook the laths into the guides so gusts cannot push the curtain out.

What this work can involve

Supplying insulated roller doors in one matching RAL colour across a terrace of refurbished small business units.
Adding wind locks and a heavier geared motor to a wide insulated roller door on an exposed elevation.
Renewing worn guide brushes, the head seal and the bottom-rail seal on an insulated roller door that lets in draughts.

Safety law for industrial doors in England

Industrial doors in Aldridge are covered by the same rules as the rest of Great Britain. On handover you should receive user instructions and, for a powered door, the conformity paperwork, because the installer is treated as the manufacturer when they assemble or motorise it. Afterwards, keeping the door in efficient working order is the occupier's job under the Workplace Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998, which in practice means regular servicing and a written log.

Keeping your site running during the work

Electrical work is the part that most often delays a job. If a new or converted door needs a supply, we confirm the motor's requirement at quote stage so your electrician can provide an isolator in the right place before installation day.

Insulated roller shutter doors in Aldridge: your questions

Can you replace our old roller shutter in Aldridge with an insulated one?

Yes. We recommend a complete new door rather than a new curtain on old parts, and include strip-out and disposal in the quote so the old shutter goes when the new one is fitted.

Will an insulated roller door cut heating bills at our Aldridge premises?

It loses much less heat than a single-skin shutter, especially with good seals and quick electric operation. How much you save depends on your building, heating system and how long the door stays open.

How much does an insulated roller shutter door cost in Aldridge?

Our guide price for an electric insulated roller door up to about 4 × 4 m is £3,195 to £7,495 ex VAT, supplied and fitted. We survey your Aldridge opening free of charge and then put a fixed price in writing.
