Options that matter on site

Weather seals. Brush or rubber guide seals and a rubber bottom seal against draughts and rain.
Safety devices. Safety edges, photocells and anti-fall devices fitted as the risk assessment requires.
Controls. From a simple button station to loops and radar, the controls match how often the door opens.
Colour choice. Powder-coated RAL finishes to match cladding and building trims.
Foam-filled laths. Each lath has two metal skins with insulating foam between them, so the curtain holds heat far better.

Typical scopes of work

Installing an insulated roller door with induction loop activation on a busy internal forklift route.
Adding wind locks and a heavier geared motor to a wide insulated roller door on an exposed elevation.
Fitting a compact insulated service door to a plant room to reduce the noise reaching neighbouring offices.

Safety law for industrial doors in England

Industrial doors in Stourport-on-Severn are covered by the same rules as the rest of Great Britain. On handover you should receive user instructions and, for a powered door, the conformity paperwork, because the installer is treated as the manufacturer when they assemble or motorise it. Afterwards, keeping the door in efficient working order is the occupier's job under the Workplace Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998, which in practice means regular servicing and a written log.

Planning the work around your site

Most installations in Stourport-on-Severn can be phased so part of the site keeps working. We agree access routes, exclusion zones and any temporary security with you before the team arrives, and can work early mornings, evenings or weekends where the business needs it.

Insulated roller shutter doors in Stourport-on-Severn: your questions

Will an insulated roller door cut heating bills at our Stourport-on-Severn premises?

It loses much less heat than a single-skin shutter, especially with good seals and quick electric operation. How much you save depends on your building, heating system and how long the door stays open.

Is there enough headroom for an insulated roller door at our Stourport-on-Severn unit?

The coil on an insulated curtain is larger than on a single-skin shutter, so we measure the space above the lintel on survey. Where headroom is very tight, the coil can sometimes be fitted outside the opening or a lower-profile option chosen.

How long does insulated roller door installation take in Stourport-on-Severn?

Most single doors are fitted and commissioned in a day once the made-to-measure door has arrived. The manufacturer's lead time is confirmed with your quote so you can plan around it.
