The short version
Busy loading doors at your Falkirk (FK1) site wear out faster than quiet ones. Planned servicing catches tired springs, frayed cables and failing safety edges before they stop the door mid-shift.

What our engineers check and fix
- Loading bays. Loading bay equipment is covered alongside the doors, saving separate visits.
- Scheduled visits. Each door is serviced as often as it needs, from yearly to quarterly.
- Written reports. A report per door with ranked defects and recommended actions.
- Full checklist. Springs, cables, rollers, guides, drives and controls inspected and adjusted.
- Most makes. Whoever installed them, we service most makes of door and loading equipment.
Examples of work we can quote for
- Setting up six-monthly servicing for a run of loading bay doors and dock levellers at a distribution centre.
- Producing door condition and defect reports for a landlord's agent ahead of a tenant handover.
- Taking over maintenance of mixed door makes on a multi-let industrial estate and building an asset register.
Who is responsible for door safety at a site in Falkirk?
In Scotland, two sets of duties meet at a powered door. The installer who supplies or motorises it must hand over a door that meets the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008, tested against BS EN 12453 and documented. The business in control of the premises must then maintain it: regulation 5 of the Workplace Regulations 1992 covers maintenance, and regulation 18 requires upward-opening doors to have a device that stops them falling back and powered doors to have features that prevent trapping.
How the work is organised
Testing and repairs can mean closing an opening, so we agree timing and access with you before the visit, including early, late or weekend slots where the site needs them.

Planned maintenance contracts in Falkirk: your questions
Do you service doors from other installers in Falkirk?
Yes. We service most makes of industrial door and loading bay equipment, whoever fitted them. On the first visit we record each door's details and condition so future servicing and parts orders are straightforward.
Can you service doors at several sites across Forth Valley?
Yes. We can set up planned maintenance across multiple sites in Forth Valley under one contract, with consistent reports and a combined asset register, and schedule visits to suit each site.
How often should our doors in Falkirk be serviced?
At least once a year is industry practice, with six-monthly or quarterly visits for busy doors, harsh environments or where the manufacturer says so. We agree the interval for each door when setting up the contract.
