What we fit in Chesham

Insulated panels. Steel sandwich panels with a foam core keep heat in and noise out; thicker panels are available for temperature-controlled units.
Paperwork. You get the manufacturer's Declaration of Performance plus commissioning and test records for your files.
Finishes. Choose a colour to match your building and a stucco or ribbed finish that hides minor knocks.
Safety devices. Every powered door is fitted with the safety functions its risk assessment needs and force-tested before handover.
Vision panels. Add a row of vision panels or full-vision aluminium sections for daylight and a clear view of vehicles outside.

What this work can involve

Installing a sectional door on low-headroom tracks in a steel-framed unit where the roof haunch sits close above the opening.
Supplying sectional doors in a RAL colour matched to the existing cladding as part of a unit refurbishment between tenants.
Replacing a draughty single-skin roller shutter with an insulated sectional door and a low-threshold wicket door.

Safety law for industrial doors in England

Industrial doors in Chesham are covered by the same rules as the rest of Great Britain. On handover you should receive user instructions and, for a powered door, the conformity paperwork, because the installer is treated as the manufacturer when they assemble or motorise it. Afterwards, keeping the door in efficient working order is the occupier's job under the Workplace Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998, which in practice means regular servicing and a written log.

How the work is organised

Downtime matters on a working site, so the programme is set around your shifts. For a single door the opening is usually needed for a day; multi-door jobs are done one bay at a time so deliveries keep moving.

Frequently asked questions

Will a sectional door reduce heating costs at our Chesham premises?

An insulated, well-sealed sectional door loses much less heat than a single-skin shutter, and keeping it closed with fast electric operation helps further. Actual savings depend on your building, heating and how often the door is open.

Do you survey sites in Chesham before quoting?

Yes. Surveys for new and replacement doors are free. We measure the opening, headroom and obstructions, check the fixings and power supply, and discuss how the door will be used before we price it.

How much is a sectional overhead door in Chesham?

Our guide price for an electric, 40 mm insulated sectional door up to about 4 × 4.5 m is £3,495 to £8,495 ex VAT, supplied and fitted. The fixed price for your opening in Chesham is confirmed in writing after a free survey.
