Area: Cornwall
Nation: England
Main town: Truro
Survey: Free for new installations

What to specify

Finishes. RAL colours to match cladding, with stucco or woodgrain embossing on the outer skin.
Paperwork. You get the manufacturer's Declaration of Performance plus commissioning and test records for your files.
Wicket doors. A pass door built into the panels saves opening the whole door for pedestrians; low-threshold options reduce trips.
Vision panels. Add a row of vision panels or full-vision aluminium sections for daylight and a clear view of vehicles outside.
Safety devices. Spring-break and cable-break protection, safety edges, photocells or light curtains, set up to BS EN 12453.

Jobs we can carry out

Supplying sectional doors in a RAL colour matched to the existing cladding as part of a unit refurbishment between tenants.
Renewing torsion springs and lift cables on a busy loading bay door, with higher-cycle springs where the usage justifies them.
Adding induction loops and an inverter drive so forklifts can open a busy internal sectional door without stopping.

Safety law for industrial doors in England

Industrial doors in Cornwall are covered by the same rules as the rest of Great Britain. On handover you should receive user instructions and, for a powered door, the conformity paperwork, because the installer is treated as the manufacturer when they assemble or motorise it. Afterwards, keeping the door in efficient working order is the occupier's job under the Workplace Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998, which in practice means regular servicing and a written log.

Access, phasing and timing

Sites in and around Cornwall vary from tight trade counters to large distribution yards. The survey records access for our vehicle and platform, overhead obstructions and floor condition so the installation day runs without surprises.
