What we fit in St Austell

Safety devices. Spring-break and cable-break protection, safety edges, photocells or light curtains, set up to BS EN 12453.
Finishes. Choose a colour to match your building and a stucco or ribbed finish that hides minor knocks.
Track layouts. We pick the track after measuring headroom and obstructions, so the door clears lights, sprinklers and crane rails.
Insulated panels. 40 mm PU-insulated steel panels as standard, with thicker thermal panels where heat loss matters.
Electric drives. Shaft-mounted motors with push-button, remote, loop or radar control, and inverter drives for high-cycle bays.

Typical scopes of work

Supplying full-vision aluminium sections for a vehicle workshop door so technicians get daylight without opening the door.
Fitting a bank of insulated sectional doors to a new distribution unit, with high-lift tracks to clear sprinkler mains and lighting.
Supplying sectional doors in a RAL colour matched to the existing cladding as part of a unit refurbishment between tenants.

Safety law for industrial doors in England

Industrial doors in St Austell are covered by the same rules as the rest of Great Britain. On handover you should receive user instructions and, for a powered door, the conformity paperwork, because the installer is treated as the manufacturer when they assemble or motorise it. Afterwards, keeping the door in efficient working order is the occupier's job under the Workplace Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998, which in practice means regular servicing and a written log.

Keeping your site running during the work

Most installations in St Austell can be phased so part of the site keeps working. We agree access routes, exclusion zones and any temporary security with you before the team arrives, and can work early mornings, evenings or weekends where the business needs it.

Sectional overhead doors in St Austell: your questions

Will a sectional door reduce heating costs at our St Austell premises?

An insulated, well-sealed sectional door loses much less heat than a single-skin shutter, and keeping it closed with fast electric operation helps further. Actual savings depend on your building, heating and how often the door is open.

How soon can a sectional door be fitted in St Austell?

Sectional doors are made to measure, so the manufacturer's lead time sets the date. We confirm it with the quote, book installation around your operations and fit most single doors in a day once the opening is ready.

Can you replace a roller shutter with a sectional door at our St Austell unit?

Usually, yes, provided there is enough headroom and side room for the tracks. Low-headroom track kits cover many older units. We check this on the survey and include strip-out and making good in the quote.
