What we fit in Billingham

Wicket doors. A pass door built into the panels saves opening the whole door for pedestrians; low-threshold options reduce trips.
Track layouts. We pick the track after measuring headroom and obstructions, so the door clears lights, sprinklers and crane rails.
Paperwork. Declaration of Performance, user instructions and commissioning records handed over on completion.
Insulated panels. 40 mm PU-insulated steel panels as standard, with thicker thermal panels where heat loss matters.
Safety devices. Every powered door is fitted with the safety functions its risk assessment needs and force-tested before handover.

Jobs we can carry out

Fitting a bank of insulated sectional doors to a new distribution unit, with high-lift tracks to clear sprinkler mains and lighting.
Supplying sectional doors in a RAL colour matched to the existing cladding as part of a unit refurbishment between tenants.
Installing a sectional door on low-headroom tracks in a steel-framed unit where the roof haunch sits close above the opening.

Safety law for industrial doors in England

Industrial doors in Billingham are covered by the same rules as the rest of Great Britain. On handover you should receive user instructions and, for a powered door, the conformity paperwork, because the installer is treated as the manufacturer when they assemble or motorise it. Afterwards, keeping the door in efficient working order is the occupier's job under the Workplace Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998, which in practice means regular servicing and a written log.

How the work is organised

Sites in and around Billingham vary from tight trade counters to large distribution yards. The survey records access for our vehicle and platform, overhead obstructions and floor condition so the installation day runs without surprises.

Your questions about sectional overhead doors

How soon can a sectional door be fitted in Billingham?

Sectional doors are made to measure, so the manufacturer's lead time sets the date. We confirm it with the quote, book installation around your operations and fit most single doors in a day once the opening is ready.

Can you replace a roller shutter with a sectional door at our Billingham unit?

Usually, yes, provided there is enough headroom and side room for the tracks. Low-headroom track kits cover many older units. We check this on the survey and include strip-out and making good in the quote.

Will a sectional door reduce heating costs at our Billingham premises?

An insulated, well-sealed sectional door loses much less heat than a single-skin shutter, and keeping it closed with fast electric operation helps further. Actual savings depend on your building, heating and how often the door is open.
