Options that matter on site

Electric drives. Motorised operation with the controls you need, from a simple push-button station to induction loops and radar.
Paperwork. Declaration of Performance, user instructions and commissioning records handed over on completion.
Safety devices. Spring-break and cable-break protection, safety edges, photocells or light curtains, set up to BS EN 12453.
Vision panels. Glazed rows or full-vision sections bring daylight in and let drivers see the yard.
Track layouts. We pick the track after measuring headroom and obstructions, so the door clears lights, sprinklers and crane rails.

Jobs we can carry out

Supplying full-vision aluminium sections for a vehicle workshop door so technicians get daylight without opening the door.
Adding induction loops and an inverter drive so forklifts can open a busy internal sectional door without stopping.
Installing a sectional door on low-headroom tracks in a steel-framed unit where the roof haunch sits close above the opening.

Powered door rules that apply in Hampton

Hampton is in England, where powered industrial doors fall under Great Britain's health and safety law. Whoever makes a door powered — including converting a manual door — usually takes on the manufacturer's duties under the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008: risk assessment, technical file, conformity marking and a Declaration of Conformity. Once it is in use, the employer or occupier must keep it safe under the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998.

Access, phasing and timing

Where a door is being replaced, the opening has to be made secure at the end of each day. We plan strip-out, any new framing and the new door so the gap is never left open overnight unless you have agreed temporary measures.

Yes. Surveys for new and replacement doors are free. We measure the opening, headroom and obstructions, check the fixings and power supply, and discuss how the door will be used before we price it.

How much is a sectional overhead door in Hampton?
