What we fit in Grantham

Insulated panels. 40 mm PU-insulated steel panels as standard, with thicker thermal panels where heat loss matters.
Paperwork. You get the manufacturer's Declaration of Performance plus commissioning and test records for your files.
Safety devices. Every powered door is fitted with the safety functions its risk assessment needs and force-tested before handover.
Track layouts. Standard, low headroom, high lift and vertical lift tracks, chosen after measuring your headroom.
Vision panels. Glazed rows or full-vision sections bring daylight in and let drivers see the yard.

What this work can involve

Fitting a bank of insulated sectional doors to a new distribution unit, with high-lift tracks to clear sprinkler mains and lighting.
Supplying full-vision aluminium sections for a vehicle workshop door so technicians get daylight without opening the door.
Renewing torsion springs and lift cables on a busy loading bay door, with higher-cycle springs where the usage justifies them.

Powered door rules that apply in Grantham

Grantham is in England, where powered industrial doors fall under Great Britain's health and safety law. Whoever makes a door powered — including converting a manual door — usually takes on the manufacturer's duties under the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008: risk assessment, technical file, conformity marking and a Declaration of Conformity. Once it is in use, the employer or occupier must keep it safe under the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998.

Planning the work around your site

Most installations in Grantham can be phased so part of the site keeps working. We agree access routes, exclusion zones and any temporary security with you before the team arrives, and can work early mornings, evenings or weekends where the business needs it.

Your questions about sectional overhead doors

Can you replace a roller shutter with a sectional door at our Grantham unit?

Usually, yes, provided there is enough headroom and side room for the tracks. Low-headroom track kits cover many older units. We check this on the survey and include strip-out and making good in the quote.

Do you survey sites in Grantham before quoting?

Yes. Surveys for new and replacement doors are free. We measure the opening, headroom and obstructions, check the fixings and power supply, and discuss how the door will be used before we price it.

Which safety devices does a powered sectional door in Grantham need?

That comes from the risk assessment for your site, but typically a safety edge or light curtain, spring-break and cable-break protection and limited closing forces tested to BS EN 12453. Busy pedestrian routes may call for more.
