What we fit in Avonmouth

Top-hung or bottom-rolling. Weight carried overhead or on a floor rail, chosen to suit the structure.
Insulated options. Insulated panel infill and edge seals for heated buildings.
Wide spans. Very wide openings are handled by adding leaves, so width is rarely a limit.
Robust build. Steel frames carry cladding to suit the building, from profiled steel to timber boarding.
Electric operation. Motorised leaves with the safety devices needed to protect against crushing and shearing.

Typical scopes of work

Installing telescopic sliding doors where the wall space to one side is limited by an adjoining structure.
Replacing a damaged floor rail and guide wheels on a bottom-rolling door struck by a vehicle.
Supplying insulated sliding leaves with edge seals for a converted building now used as a heated workshop.

Safety law for industrial doors in England

Industrial doors in Avonmouth are covered by the same rules as the rest of Great Britain. On handover you should receive user instructions and, for a powered door, the conformity paperwork, because the installer is treated as the manufacturer when they assemble or motorise it. Afterwards, keeping the door in efficient working order is the occupier's job under the Workplace Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998, which in practice means regular servicing and a written log.

Keeping your site running during the work

Before work starts we send a method statement and risk assessment, confirm who on site will be our contact and agree where materials and access equipment will go. On shared industrial estates that can mean booking yard space with the landlord.

Frequently asked questions

How much do sliding or folding industrial doors cost in Avonmouth?

Our guide price is £5,995 to £24,995 ex VAT, supplied and fitted, depending on size, number of leaves, infill and whether the doors are manual or electric. After a free survey in Avonmouth we confirm the fixed price in writing.

Which is better for our Avonmouth site, top-hung or bottom-rolling?

Top-hung keeps the floor flush but needs a strong structure overhead. Bottom-rolling suits lighter buildings but needs a clean, protected floor rail. We recommend one after checking both on survey.

Do you fit sliding doors on farm buildings around Bristol?

Yes. We supply and fit steel sliding doors on agricultural buildings across Bristol, including timber-clad leaves, bottom-rolling gear for lightweight portal frames and wicket doors so staff and livestock handlers can get in without opening the main leaves.
