In short
We can supply and fit steel sliding and bi-folding doors in Eccles and across Greater Manchester, manual or electric, with insulated or single-skin leaves and wicket doors wherever staff need everyday access.

- Eccles
- Postcode district
- M30
- Area
- Greater Manchester
- Survey
- Free for new installations
What to specify
- No headroom needed. Leaves move sideways, so nothing coils above or runs under the roof.
- Electric operation. Motor drives with safety edges, photocells and guarding where needed.
- Wicket doors. Pass doors built into a leaf so staff need not open the whole door.
- Insulated options. Insulated panel infill and edge seals for heated buildings.
- Top-hung or bottom-rolling. Weight carried overhead or on a floor rail, chosen to suit the structure.
What this work can involve
- Installing telescopic sliding doors where the wall space to one side is limited by an adjoining structure.
- Fitting bi-folding doors to a maintenance workshop where overhead gantry cranes rule out a roller shutter or sectional door.
- Automating a pair of heavy bi-parting sliding doors with a drive motor, safety edges and photocells.
Safety law for industrial doors in England
Industrial doors in Eccles are covered by the same rules as the rest of Great Britain. On handover you should receive user instructions and, for a powered door, the conformity paperwork, because the installer is treated as the manufacturer when they assemble or motorise it. Afterwards, keeping the door in efficient working order is the occupier's job under the Workplace Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998, which in practice means regular servicing and a written log.
How the work is organised
Most installations in Eccles can be phased so part of the site keeps working. We agree access routes, exclusion zones and any temporary security with you before the team arrives, and can work early mornings, evenings or weekends where the business needs it.

Questions from businesses in Eccles
Which is better for our Eccles site, top-hung or bottom-rolling?
Top-hung keeps the floor flush but needs a strong structure overhead. Bottom-rolling suits lighter buildings but needs a clean, protected floor rail. We recommend one after checking both on survey.
How long does it take to fit sliding doors in Eccles?
A pair of manual sliding doors on a sound structure is usually fitted in a day or two. Large folding doors, electric operation and new steelwork add time, which we set out with your quote.
How much do sliding or folding industrial doors cost in Eccles?
Our guide price is £5,995 to £24,995 ex VAT, supplied and fitted, depending on size, number of leaves, infill and whether the doors are manual or electric. After a free survey in Eccles we confirm the fixed price in writing.
