Options for sliding and folding industrial doors in Northamptonshire
- Wide spans. Very wide openings are handled by adding leaves, so width is rarely a limit.
- Electric operation. Motor drives with safety edges, photocells and guarding where needed.
- Insulated options. Insulated panel infill and edge seals for heated buildings.
- Robust build. Steel-framed leaves with steel, panel or timber cladding.
- No headroom needed. With side-opening leaves, cranes, lights and services overhead stay clear.
Jobs we can carry out
- Renewing seized trolleys and a distorted overhead track on large sliding doors to a vehicle shed.
- Automating a pair of heavy bi-parting sliding doors with a drive motor, safety edges and photocells.
- Adding a steel support beam and top-hung track so a sliding door leaves the floor flush for forklifts.
Safety law for industrial doors in England
Industrial doors in Northamptonshire are covered by the same rules as the rest of Great Britain. On handover you should receive user instructions and, for a powered door, the conformity paperwork, because the installer is treated as the manufacturer when they assemble or motorise it. Afterwards, keeping the door in efficient working order is the occupier's job under the Workplace Regulations 1992 and PUWER 1998, which in practice means regular servicing and a written log.
Planning the work around your site
Most installations in Northamptonshire can be phased so part of the site keeps working. We agree access routes, exclusion zones and any temporary security with you before the team arrives, and can work early mornings, evenings or weekends where the business needs it.
