PVC strip curtains in Dunoon

The short version

Losing heat or chilled air through a door left open all day at your Dunoon site? A PVC strip curtain lets people and vehicles pass freely while cutting draughts, dust, noise and insects.

Town: Dunoon
Postcode district: PA23
Area: Argyll and Bute
Survey: By arrangement

What to specify

Traffic passes freely. People, trolleys and forklifts push straight through the overlapping strips.
Polar grade. Low-temperature PVC that stays flexible in chillers and freezers.
Sliding rails. Sliding or swing-away rails move the curtain clear for oversized loads.
Draught control. A curtain across the opening holds back draughts and helps keep temperatures steady.
Specialist grades. Tinted strips for insect control or welding bays, and anti-static grades where needed.

What this work can involve

Fitting anti-insect strips to the rear door of a bakery or food unit to deter flying insects.
Fitting ribbed PVC strip curtains inside loading bay doors so the doors can stay open between deliveries.
Supplying replacement strips cut to length for existing hook-on rails across several doorways in one visit.

Keeping strip curtains safe in Scotland

The business running the site in Dunoon must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.

How the work is organised

Most installations in Dunoon can be phased so part of the site keeps working. We agree access routes, exclusion zones and any temporary security with you before the team arrives, and can work early mornings, evenings or weekends where the business needs it.
