What to specify
- Ribbed strips. Ribs protect the clear face of each strip from scratches on busy vehicle routes.
- No power. With no electrics involved, the curtain keeps working with only cleaning and strip renewal.
- Specialist grades. Anti-insect, anti-static and weld-screen strips for specific areas.
- Traffic passes freely. Nothing to open or close: traffic simply pushes through and the strips drop back.
- Polar grade. Freezer-grade strips stay soft and pliable instead of stiffening in the cold.
Typical scopes of work
- Installing weld-screen strip curtains around welding bays in a fabrication workshop to protect nearby staff.
- Fitting ribbed PVC strip curtains inside loading bay doors so the doors can stay open between deliveries.
- Supplying replacement strips cut to length for existing hook-on rails across several doorways in one visit.
Traffic route rules in Northern Ireland
In Northern Ireland, the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1993 require traffic routes to be organised so pedestrians and vehicles can move safely and kept in good repair, with HSENI as the regulator. Clear, undamaged strips are part of that.

Your questions about PVC strip curtains
Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our County Fermanagh site?
A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.
Do strip curtains work in cold stores around Northern Ireland?
Yes, with polar-grade PVC that stays flexible at low temperatures. We fit strip curtains inside cold store and freezer doors across Northern Ireland to cut the cold air lost while doors are open.
How much is a PVC strip curtain in County Fermanagh?
Our guide price is £175 to £895 ex VAT per doorway, supplied and fitted, depending on opening size, strip grade and rail type. We confirm the fixed price for your openings in County Fermanagh in writing after a free survey.
