Options that matter on site
- No power. No motors, sensors or controls, so almost nothing to go wrong.
- Sliding rails. Sliding or swing-away rails move the curtain clear for oversized loads.
- Hook-on strips. Replace a single damaged strip without taking the whole curtain down.
- Ribbed strips. Ribs protect the clear face of each strip from scratches on busy vehicle routes.
- Polar grade. Low-temperature PVC that stays flexible in chillers and freezers.
Examples of work we can quote for
- Installing weld-screen strip curtains around welding bays in a fabrication workshop to protect nearby staff.
- Adding a swing-away rail so a strip curtain can be moved clear for long or oversized loads.
- Supplying polar-grade strips for a freezer doorway where standard PVC stiffens and cracks in the cold.
Keeping strip curtains safe in Scotland
The business running the site in Glenrothes must keep traffic routes safe and equipment maintained under the Workplace Regulations 1992. For strip curtains that means clear, undamaged strips that let drivers and pedestrians see each other, and a separate pedestrian route where traffic is heavy.
How the work is organised
For busy sites in Fife the work can be split across visits — preparation and framing first, door installation and commissioning second — so the opening is only out of action for the shortest time.

Frequently asked questions
Is a strip curtain or a high-speed door better for our Glenrothes site?
A strip curtain costs far less and suits most openings. A high-speed door seals better, keeps a clear view and suits very busy or temperature-critical openings. We price both where either could work.
How often should strip curtains in Glenrothes be replaced?
It depends on traffic. Pedestrian doorways can go years between changes; busy forklift routes need new strips sooner. Replace any strip that is torn, cloudy or badly scratched so visibility stays good.
How much is a PVC strip curtain in Glenrothes?
Our guide price is £175 to £895 ex VAT per doorway, supplied and fitted, depending on opening size, strip grade and rail type. We confirm the fixed price for your openings in Glenrothes in writing after a free survey.
