Options for PVC strip curtains in Govan
- Ribbed strips. Raised ribs take forklift and pallet abrasion, keeping strips clearer for longer.
- Draught control. A curtain across the opening holds back draughts and helps keep temperatures steady.
- Traffic passes freely. Nothing to open or close: traffic simply pushes through and the strips drop back.
- Sliding rails. Where big loads come through, the curtain can slide or swing out of the way.
- No power. With no electrics involved, the curtain keeps working with only cleaning and strip renewal.
Examples of work we can quote for
- Installing weld-screen strip curtains around welding bays in a fabrication workshop to protect nearby staff.
- Fitting anti-insect strips to the rear door of a bakery or food unit to deter flying insects.
- Replacing scratched, cloudy strips on a forklift route so drivers and pedestrians can see each other clearly.
Traffic route rules that apply in Govan
Strip curtains sit on workplace traffic routes, so in Scotland the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 apply: traffic routes must be organised so pedestrians and vehicles can move safely (regulation 17) and kept in good repair (regulation 5). That is why clear strips, good visibility and prompt replacement of scratched or missing strips matter.
Keeping your site running during the work
Most installations in Govan can be phased so part of the site keeps working. We agree access routes, exclusion zones and any temporary security with you before the team arrives, and can work early mornings, evenings or weekends where the business needs it.
